- For every example of a satisfied end user who purchased from a mail =
- order house, I can show you TEN who are unhappy. OK, a little =
- exaggeration. The real number is that 15% of the people find mail order =
- service to be satisfactory. The others do not. Mail order has a =
- definite place in the economic scheme of things. I personally made =
- lot's of money in that channel for a very long time. MOST, not all =
- mail order business can NOT most circumstance provide the level of =
- service that the DeskStation dealer can provide you. The DeskStation =
- dealer is in your neiborhood!

- I don't really want to get in an argument over this, but I feel (and
- countless others agree) this was probably one of the single worst
- NewTek decisions in the past year. Placing the control of Alpha LW into
- the hands of Deskstation was foolish, anti-competitive, and a stab in
- the back to every other Alpha vendor that supported NewTek. And its
- absolutely another factor to make Pentium Pro solutions all the more

- I find this ludicrous and typical of a vendor who wants to discredit
- their competition. The support I have received for my *non-Deskstation*
- based system has been nothing short of outstanding.
